About Schildbach Design

A Designer

Stephen Schildbach starts with high quality and beautiful designs that are not only enjoyable to look at, but it is statistically proven that good design encourages trust in your brand and attracts customers to your business. Stephen will design the website you want but his influences are architectural design, modernism, 1990's commercial illustration and the present DIY arts and crafts movement.

A Developer

We all know you can't be a web designer without knowing how to code. Schildbach Design is equipped with the knowledge of several coding languages that are needed for small to medium sized websites. These coding languages include: html, html5, css, css3, javascript, php, sql and jQuery. Almost as important, is knowledge of content management systems that have their own coding structures and systems. Developing in Wordpress not only requires not only knowledge of coding, but also know the CMS's never ending array of widgets, plugins and shortcodes.

A Consultant

Everything you need for your website and business identity is available on the web, much of it for free, but where do you begin to look? What order do you proceed? What tools do you use? And, what is the most efficient effective approach? Stephen Schildbach offers advice and guidance that answers all of your questions. When he can not answer your questions or does not have the skill set to build your project, he often can suggest another developer or designer who can. He is connected with many designers, developers, photographers, videographers and other talented people in the Seattle area.

A Search Engine Optimization Analyst

Stephen Schildbach does not make the promise that he will "put your business on page 1 in Google". Whether you you hire Schildbach Design or go with another company to work on your Search Engine Optimization, be weary of anyone who claims that promise. Although, Schildbach Design has had a number of success stories bringing the online presence of companies from virtually invisible, to appearing on page 1, 2 and 3 of Google when searching for relevant key phrases related to their business. Because of this success, you may want to add an added SEO package, Basic or Advanced, to your project that will improve your business' online presence in the major search engines.

A Print Designer

Because Schildbach Design's background is design, print design is an old friend that may not have the weight it used to, but is still needed for many businesses' marketing success. He can provide business cards, postcards, brochures, catalogs and any other small print project you need to round out your business collateral.

About Stephen Schildbach

To give you a little personal information about myself, and give you a break from my talking in 3rd person, let me tell you a little about myself. I live with my wife and daughter in Seattle, WA, a place where the gardens bloom all year around, chickens, ducks, raccoons, cats, dogs and bees live together, most people are kind and generous, and environmental awareness, community, and good food is held at a high priority. I am right in the middle of the city, yet still able to enjoy a back yard, plenty of parks and a bike path near by that takes me right to other great neighborhoods in Seattle. You may pass me by on my bike, at a club catching some local music with my wife, or, find me working at my second office: one of the many independent coffee shops in Seattle—Gypsy Trader, A Muddy Cup, Lama G's, Irwin's, Muse, and Chocolati.
